About F. Michael Friedman
I have been an attorney for more than thirty years. For most of that time my office was in Media, Pennsylvania, the county seat of Delaware County, just outside of Philadelphia. It is now in Drexel Hill, Delaware County. I have practiced in a number of areas, including criminal defense, civil litigation, and administrative law. For more than thirty years I have successfully represented Social Security disability claimant both before the Social Security Administration and in the Federal Courts. For the last ten years most of my practice has been in the area known as Elder law which includes Social Security Law. I have had extensive experience with guardianship proceedings, powers of attorney, estate planning taking into account persons with future needs of medical assistance or special needs, and the settlement of decedents’ estates.
Although most of my practice is in the areas of Social Security Disability and Elder Law and Administrative or Regulatory Law I still think of myself as a trial lawyer at heart and am always able to evaluate the litigation possibilities of any problems my clients may have. I am a member of the Bar of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and State of New Jersey, as well as numerous Federal Courts and, besides dealing with the Social Security Administration, I have successfully handled civil and administrative litigation with the United States Department of Transportation (DOT), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) as well as other Federal and state agencies, and have experience in product liability litigation, on behalf of both plaintiffs and defendants, general personal injury and tort law, and commercial litigation.
I no longer handle general personal injury cases, such as auto accidents, but about 10 years ago I experienced as series of incidents in which I discovered that some of my clients and some of my relatives clearly did not know what to do, and what information to exchange in the event on an auto accident.
